The CGTSIM contributes to these efforts by generating revenues from the school tax and allocating them to school service centres and school boards (SSC/SB) on the Island of Montréal.

Each year, the CGTSIM distributes a portion of the income derived from investing the school tax proceeds and the income from the supplemental school tax billings to the SSC/SB on the Island of Montréal to be used for educational catch-up measures in underprivileged areas.

Significant amounts are distributed to the schools in accordance with the rules adopted by resolution of the members of the Comité de gestion.
